Outline/Description of Show Segments
* A-Block (Approx. Length: 11 Minutes)
Recap the Top “8” boxing stories of the week including highlights and sound bites from the week’s biggest fights. The Top “8” boxing news stories will be delivered from #1 to #8 as if they were rounds appearing in an actual bout. Each story/highlight reel will begin with the sound effect of a bell ringing. The Top “8” stories of the week will be read by AJ Vittone from the anchor desk with accompanying OTS graphics appearing on each side of the anchor desk inside large plasma monitors. “Special Guest” Bert Sugar will be introduced at the top of the show and will be sitting next to AJ at the anchor desk. Bert Sugar will be asked to comment at the end of the top story (story #1) and other stories when it is warranted. This block may also feature a 1:30 PKG. or M.O.S. reaction on a certain story if the topic warrants it. At the end of the block a trivia question will appear regarding an important moment in boxing history. Viewers will be encouraged to answer on-line and stay tuned for the answer which appears at the end of the program.
* B-Block (Approx. Length: 6 Minutes)
This will be the Live guest interview portion of the show conducted by Host AJ Vittone and, if it is warranted, Bert Sugar, as well. A boxer and or celebrity guest will be interviewed (in-studio or via satellite) and, if possible, a pre-recorded sketch comedy skit with our guest will appear in this block. The guest will be sitting either at the anchor desk next to AJ and Bert Sugar or off to the side in an area designated for interview segments. Also, full screen graphics will appear with accompanying video for the purpose of discussing timely pop culture related content. For example, faces of celebrities will appear and the guests will be asked to pick which celebrity would win in a fight or for that matter, which celebrities they would like to see in an actual fight. In addition, other pop culture related questions will be asked to the guests during this block in a (Rapid Fire) segment entitled “It’s Time To Play, Not Your Average Q & A”.
* C-Block (Approx. Length: 3 Minutes)
AJ will introduce a weekly in-depth PKG. profiling “Standing 8 Count’s” Fighter of The Week. An M.O.S. PKG. may also appear in this block in which fans will offer their opinions on “Standing 8 Count’s” Fighter of The Week. After the story airs, AJ and if it is warranted, Bert Sugar, will share their opinions/commentary regarding the Fighter of The Week story. A Live interview with a boxing writer/columnist may also appear in this block.
* D-Block (Approx. Length: 2 Minutes)
Immediately following the bump in from the break a full screen graphic will appear with the answer to the night’s trivia question. Then, AJ and Bert Sugar will offer commentary on the latest boxing news in a “sound off” segment entitled “Below The Belt.” Following that, they will then give their picks (which will appear on a full screen graphic) on the upcoming week’s biggest fights. AJ will quickly tease the guests and stories for next week’s show. Good night. See you next week.
